In the new MIDI track, set the following in the I/Out section. Open the "Browser" window and click-and-drag a "Simpler" preset to the "Session" view. In Live 6 main window, go to "Session" view. If it is "Off" (button is grayed-out), click the button and it should toggle it to "On". Under the "MIDI Ports" section, make sure that the button next to your Casio Midi Input (This is under the "Track" column) is set to "On" (button is yellow). Open Live 6, go to "Options/Preferences/MIDI Sync". If your keyboard is recognized by your computer, you will need to set up Live 6 to use the keyboard:ġ. I found out that the Casio USB port supports MIDI data so you should be able to use it as a MIDI controller.
So I am sure I am not on the right track. I play the keyboards and it is not recording. Should I just hear the keyboard, Should I see a Midi Pattern on the Arrangement View. I am new to this, and I am not been doing this very long. So Now What? How do I know it is set up correctly and everything is working properly. The usb connection is directly connected to the computer. Well, I have it set up right, since I am new what should I see, should I go to the arrangement view and see the midi pattern. You should see in it Live preferences midi section. Now What should I have the setting set up for in Ableton Live 6. I asked if it shows up as Casio, They told me tha Usb Audio Device is showing up and that is correct. Under Start Programs/Control Panel/System/Hardware/Device Manager/Sound,video,game controllers/Usb Audio Device Well, I was on the phone with Casio and they told me my Casio is recognized under the USb Audio Devices.
